According to Article 4 number 1 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the General Data Protection Regulation, hereinafter referred to as GDPR, processing means any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data, whether or not by automated means. This includes collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.
With the following privacy policy, we inform you in particular about the nature, scope, purpose, duration and legal basis of the processing of personal data, insofar as we decide either alone or jointly with others on the purposes and means of processing. We also inform you below about third-party components used for optimisation purposes and to improve the quality of use, insofar as third parties process data under their own responsibility.
Our privacy policy is structured as follows:

II. Rights of Users and Data Subjects
With regard to the data processing described in more detail below, users and data subjects have the right:
- to confirmation as to whether data concerning them is being processed, to information about the processed data, to further information about the data processing and to copies of the data (see also Article 15 GDPR);
- to correction or completion of incorrect or incomplete data (see also Article 16 GDPR);

In addition, the provider is obliged to notify all recipients to whom data has been disclosed by the provider of any correction or erasure of data or restriction of processing carried out pursuant to Articles 16, 17 (1) and 18 GDPR. However, this obligation does not apply if such notification is impossible or involves disproportionate effort. Without prejudice to this, the user has a right to information about these recipients.
Users and data subjects also have the right under Article 21 GDPR to object to the future processing of data concerning them, provided that the data is processed by the provider on the basis of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. In particular, an objection to data processing for direct advertising purposes is permissible.
III. Information on Data Processing
Data processed when you use our website will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies, provided that no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion and no different information is provided below for individual processing procedures.
Cookie Manager, Currently Not in Use
To obtain consent for the use of technically non-essential cookies on the website, the provider uses a cookie manager.
When the website is accessed, a cookie containing the settings information is stored on the user's device so that consent does not have to be requested again during a subsequent visit.
The cookie is necessary to obtain legally compliant user consent.
The user can prevent or terminate the installation of cookies through the settings of their browser.
Cookies
a) Session Cookies
We use so-called cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files or other storage technologies that are placed and stored on your device by the internet browser you use. These cookies process certain information about you on an individual basis, such as browser or location data or your IP address.
This processing makes our website more user-friendly, effective and secure, because it enables, for example, the display of our website in different languages or the provision of a shopping cart function.
The legal basis for this processing is Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR, provided that these cookies process data for the initiation or performance of a contract.
If the processing does not serve the initiation or performance of a contract, our legitimate interest lies in improving the functionality of our website. The legal basis is then Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
These session cookies are deleted when you close your internet browser.
b) Third-Party Cookies
Where applicable, our website may also use cookies from partner companies with which we cooperate for advertising, analysis or functionality purposes.
Please refer to the following information for details, in particular regarding the purposes and legal bases for the processing of such third-party cookies.
c) Removal Options
You can prevent or restrict the installation of cookies by adjusting your internet browser settings. You can also delete cookies that have already been stored at any time. The steps and measures required for this depend on the specific internet browser you use. If you have questions, please use the help function or documentation of your internet browser or contact its manufacturer or support. For so-called Flash cookies, processing cannot be prevented through browser settings. Instead, you must change the settings of your Flash player. The steps and measures required for this also depend on the specific Flash player you use. If you have questions, please use the help function or documentation of your Flash player or contact its manufacturer or user support.
If you prevent or restrict the installation of cookies, this may mean that not all functions of our website can be used in full.
Cloudflare reCAPTCHA
On our website, we use Cloudflare Turnstile to check and prevent interactions by automated access, such as bots. These are services of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, hereinafter referred to as Cloudflare.
Through these services, Cloudflare can determine from which IP address our website is accessed. In addition, Cloudflare can collect technical information that is necessary to ensure the security and functionality of the service, such as your IP address, browser and device settings and data about your interaction with our website. The technically necessary cookie \_\_cfruid is used to distinguish between legitimate human users and automated access. This cookie is a session cookie and is automatically deleted when you close your browser.
Cloudflare provides further information on its general handling of user data at:
https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/ (https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/)
Contact Requests and Contact Options
If you contact us by contact form or email, the data you provide will be used to process your request. Providing this data is necessary to process and answer your request; without it, we cannot answer your request, or can only answer it to a limited extent.
The legal basis for this processing is Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
Your data will be deleted if your request has been conclusively answered and no statutory retention obligations prevent deletion, for example in the case of any subsequent contract processing.
Newsletter
If you register for our free newsletter, the data requested from you for this purpose, namely your email address and, optionally, your name and address, will be transmitted to us. At the same time, we store the IP address of the internet connection from which you access our website as well as the date and time of your registration. During the further registration process, we will obtain your consent to receive the newsletter, describe the content specifically and refer to this privacy policy. We use the data collected in this process exclusively for sending the newsletter; in particular, it is not passed on to third parties.
The legal basis for this is Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR.
You may revoke your consent to receive the newsletter at any time with effect for the future in accordance with Article 7 (3) GDPR. To do this, you only need to inform us of your revocation or use the unsubscribe link contained in each newsletter.
Online Job Applications and Job Postings
We offer you the opportunity to apply to us through our website. For these digital applications, your applicant and application data is collected and processed electronically by us for the purpose of handling the application process.
The legal basis for this processing is Section 26 (1) sentence 1 BDSG in conjunction with Article 88 (1) GDPR.
If an employment contract is concluded after the application process, we store the data transmitted during your application in your personnel file for the purposes of the usual organisational and administrative process, naturally in compliance with further legal obligations.
The legal basis for this processing is also Section 26 (1) sentence 1 BDSG in conjunction with Article 88 (1) GDPR.
If an application is rejected, we automatically delete the data transmitted to us two months after notification of the rejection. However, deletion does not take place if the data must be stored for a longer period of up to four months or until the conclusion of legal proceedings due to statutory provisions, for example because of evidentiary obligations under the German General Equal Treatment Act.
In this case, the legal basis is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR and Section 24 (1) number 2 BDSG. Our legitimate interest lies in legal defence or enforcement.
If you expressly consent to longer storage of your data, for example for inclusion in an applicant or interested-party database, the data will continue to be processed on the basis of your consent. The legal basis is then Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You may of course revoke your consent at any time in accordance with Article 7 (3) GDPR by notifying us with effect for the future.
Server Data
For technical reasons, in particular to ensure a secure and stable website, data is transmitted by your internet browser to us or to our webspace provider. These so-called server log files collect, among other things, the type and version of your internet browser, the operating system, the website from which you accessed our website (referrer URL), the pages of our website that you visit, the date and time of the respective access and the IP address of the internet connection from which our website is used.
The data collected in this way is stored temporarily, but not together with other data about you.
This storage takes place on the legal basis of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in improving the stability, functionality and security of our website.
The data is deleted no later than after seven days, unless further retention is required for evidentiary purposes. Otherwise, the data is fully or partially excluded from deletion until an incident has been finally clarified.

The legal basis for the resulting processing of personal data described below is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is in analysis, communication, sales and promotion of our products and services.
The legal basis may also be the user's consent pursuant to Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR given to the platform operator. The user can revoke this consent for the future at any time in accordance with Article 7 (3) GDPR by notifying the platform operator.
When our online presence on Instagram is accessed, Facebook Ireland Ltd., as operator of the platform in the EU, processes user data, for example personal information or IP address.
This user data serves as statistical information about the use of our company presence on Instagram. Facebook Ireland Ltd. uses this data for market research and advertising purposes and to create user profiles. Based on these profiles, Facebook Ireland Ltd. can, for example, advertise to users inside and outside Instagram based on their interests. If the user is logged into their Instagram account at the time of access, Facebook Ireland Ltd. can also link the data to the respective user account.
If the user contacts us via Instagram, the personal data entered by the user on that occasion is used to process the request. The user's data will be deleted by us if the user's request has been conclusively answered and no statutory retention obligations, for example in the case of subsequent contract processing, prevent deletion.
Facebook Ireland Ltd. may also set cookies to process the data.
If the user does not agree to this processing, it is possible to prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting browser settings accordingly. Cookies that have already been stored can also be deleted at any time. The settings for this depend on the respective browser. For Flash cookies, processing cannot be prevented through browser settings, but through the corresponding setting of the Flash player. If the user prevents or restricts the installation of cookies, this may mean that not all Facebook functions can be used in full.
More information about the processing activities, how to prevent them and how to delete the data processed by Instagram can be found in Instagram's data policy:

General Links to Third-Party Profiles
The provider uses links to the social networks listed below on the website.
The legal basis for this is Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The provider's legitimate interest lies in improving the quality of use of the website.

After the customer has been forwarded, the respective network collects information about the user. This initially includes data such as IP address, date, time and visited page. If the user is logged into their user account of the respective network at the same time, the network operator may assign the collected information about the user's specific visit to the user's personal account.
